Found a couple bullets tonight that I thought were Starr Carbines til I got them home and cleaned them up. They have a small hole in the base, the Starr doesn't. They also measure .58 cal at the base and the Starr is supposed to be a .54 cal. Anyone have any idea what I've got here? Any help would be appreciated, thanks!
 
Sweet, thanks Dave, kinda what I was figuring, but I couldn't find any that matched it. Was I wrong about it being a .58 cal? The base seemed to match up with my .58 cal minie balls, but it was about the same height as my .54's.
 
Little bigger than the smooth bottom at .565 dia. , though still for a 54 cal.
 
Nice, thanks for the info Dave, I really appreciate it. They must be pretty uncommon, I can't find a single picture or anyone talking bout them on the interwebs.
