Bunny rabbit

New member
Joan and I went out yard saleing again today. Bought some old bottles from the local area. Joan bought me a real live Bunny Rabbit. One of them long ear ones. He is going to be a house bunny, but in a cage. Our pug dog loves him. We have a wild rabbit in our back yard that plays with our pug when we take him out at night. I used to raise rabbits when I was a kid. I will post a pic of my new critter later.

My son, David, had one that we kept in a good-size cage in the basement and when we had to go on a long trip or we went on vacation, we would take Fuzzy with us! He had a harness that we used to keep him close when out of our trailer at a campsite! Used to have people commenting on him, because instead of a dog on a leash we had a White Rabbit! He died later of pnuemonia we think! Had him for several years though! May God Bless! Amen! Ma Betty

ours would kill for a graham cracker. All of ours would used their own "potty box", usually a wash pan from the hospital. They were allowed out to roam around as long as we were home. Rabbits need to gnaw or their teeth will groww and curl under and they strave. Lamp cords seem to get their attention for this purpose. Pine branches serve this purpose well but they like them fresh. Depending on how many generations have been hand tamed they will be quite friendly. We had a doe though that would bite and draw blood. Don't know if you know it or not but if the thump, they're are mad. Also if they crouch down with their ears straight back along their body they are ready to attack. Enjoy your fuzzy bunny.

Our pug has already taken a likeing to the bunny. We have let him roam the house while we are here. He does thump some but it will take some time for him to get used to being around people all the time. He is only two months old. Will probably be a big rabbit. Don't know exactly what kind of lop ear he is. Named him Buster D. Bunny.
