Very hard day indeed. My sister asked me yesterday to give a prayer or two to the guy doing the service. I was lead to Jer. 29:11. So that was read during the service. My nephew loved and collected thousands of Hot Wheels cars. Believe it or not the man Bill Rose who did the service just happened to know a guy with a full sized van replica of a Hot Wheels car that we were able to use to carry his body to the cemetery. I was also asked to do a closing prayer and some words to close the grave side service. After some comments about Mark who loved Hot Wheels and WWII history, and a short prayer. I read the words
to TAPS. Then at that time My son Kody Played TAPS on his trumpet. It was a hard time seeing my sister lose her first child, my mom lose her first grand baby, and me to lose my first nephew. I will say that I was blessed when a friend, a member of this forum showed up at the funeral to support me. The hug I got was one of true friendship! Thank you bro! Till that time I had been the support for the family, little did anyone know that I needed some too!
Another note, the guy who did the service (Bill Rose) When I met him yesterday I asked him if he had taught AWANA clubs years ago (mid 70's) at Allegan St. elementary! He said yes. I told him that he was instrumental in leading me to Christ! Thank you Lord for letting me be able to share with him yesterday and today. I told Him (Thank you for giving to the Lord! I was a life that was changed)
Thank you all for your prayers, May God bless you all! Hug your family members today!
