Burrr kind of woods hunt.:fisher:

27 actual, wind chill of 17, when I hit the woods this morning. The LTD and I were ready, though, for a good hunt and I was dressed for the occasion. Of course, it didn't hurt that my very first target within the first ten minutes out of a ivy patch was a silver dime. A 1942d Merc. Within a foot of the Merc., I got the 3 wheat cents, surprisingly, all 1944. The other most notable find was the key, which I forgot to take a picture of. It is an American Motors car key. Some history surrounding the co., but won't bore you all any more. Digging, as you can see from the first picture, was a little muddy with all the rain we've had of late. Had on the small 6 1/2" coil again. HH jim tn

Wow, glad you are still getting out. We took a hammering from the rain up here Saturday afternoon through Sunday. Some places more than two inches. My Saturday hunt was already a mud bath. Hope things drain a little by the weekend. Great you can still get out. I hope all of this rain gets back down your way to help out the mighty Miss.

We got hammered with a lot of rain as well. A few messy holes in the woodlands are no problem, but sports fields, parks, school yards and so on are a no go right now. The "Mighty Muddy" is slowly but surely rising, but has been real low for some time. Thanks, and hope ground dries for you some. HH jim tn

I would freeze my ....( Tail) :................ Off at those temps.....

Nice! You know every once in a while it doesn't hurt to be a man! Going outside in the cold, rain and dark is good for us in moderation!
Mud

You are right, Mud. 27 degrees is actually pleasant hunting in the woods. Leaves and ivy patches, however, were a bit crusty this morning. Dug a Lion oil co fob. That was the best ticket this morning for two hours. HH jim tn

Try hunting in -28 C with windchill of -35

 Probably not, Joel. I don't like carrying a blowtorch, sledge and chisel when I hunt. Slows me down to much.
