[attachment 224395 100MEDIA95IMAG0193.jpg] Found this button where Thomas legion fought and he had cherokee indians in his brigade at this battle.....the back is in bad shape so cant see back marks...anybody have any ideas? May be a common button but may of been worn by one of those cherokees
 
is this button made like a normal 2pc.? Brass back or tin? The Thomas legion was here in east Tn. in some areas that I hunt.

Never seen one like it before. I dont recall if any Native American Buttons were listed in Albert's button book. Maybe try -- Uniform Buttons: American Armed Forces 1784-1948 by David F. Johnson ?? It is UNIQUE and quite a find for sure. Congratulations. CCH.
