I dug this button near two civil war eagle buttons. I assume as a arsult of that and looking at 13 stars, etc that it is early 19th century, but I can't find it in any of the books. Almost all the book entries have the eagle facing to the right. I found an I button last year facing to the left and couldn't find it either. Appears that left facing birds are not so common in the reference books.

Can anyone help me ID this one? Thanks............

WISH I KNEW I FOUND ONE JUST LIKE IT A FEW DAYS AGO. HOPE SOMEONE CAN HELP. I FOUND MINE IN BRAINERD MN. AT OLD CITY PARK.

Hi, I dug a similar button a few years back and thought it was my first military button, but I was told here that it was a civilian button off a blazer. So I believe your button is civilian, though I'll wait for one of the experts here to confirm that.
