Can any of you tell us what this button is? The family thinks it is a civil war button but they are not sure. Figured someone out there is up on buttons. thanks!!
 
If anyone would know, the fella's over there would know and this would be the best place to find out. It looks like it has a Steel Back and there is No Markings either Grumpy. I would say that it is a more recent Button but can't say what from. A lot of the Old Buttons have the place of Manufacture on them and had the back made of Brass also. Hope you get an answer to what kind of Button it is. Good Luck and HH.
