C Scope CS 7 performances

Is the Frequency control on the C Scope CS 7 equivalent to Pulse delay control?
I own this item since a couple of years. When full immerged it works well and I can run it with the frequency control set at 4 o

I also have the CS7 and I have tried many water pulse machines and found the CS7 to be the "best of the best" pulse I could find and afford. I always run the control knob on the right at full open all the way (in the water/surf/wet salt/ dry sand)...NEVER had 1 problem with it. when I turn it on, I click the left knob on(threshold) first about 1/2 way up, then turn the right button all the way up, then back off the threshold to a just barely audible signal. I dont know if I am doing this correctly, but I am finding targets, (almost too deep) and they are small ones, like the stem that winds a watch to a small earring I have never had a problem on any of the beaches here. Perhaps it could be as simple as the sequence that you use to fire up the machine.........(You probably already do this, but just in case, it is something to try. I think they recommend using the silent search with this unit, but I like the threshold sound when I am hunting.
Good luck with it , it sure is a good machine.

Hi Seric
I had a few e-mail conversations with Doug Wong in Manila re the CS7 as he had had problems, as had a few of his friends, that resulted in their machines having to be sent off for repair.
I had not heard of any particular problems with the C-Scope P.I.'s but since then I have noticed two or three postings with similar experiences to yours. So I'm afraid its more likely a hardware problem than something your doing wrong.
