Calm ..Stable...Deep Coin Detector..

OK guys I have the f75-ltd.....but I want a calm ,stable deep coin detector that is quieter.....any suggestions.....thanks for sharing info.....hh.....God Bless......Dan

I'm pretty new to it, but I've heard others say it's calmer than the T2 or F75 and almost as deep and possibly BETTER on coins. Lower khz so high conductors ring out better maybe??? Just my 2 cents. It's a FUN detector to use. HH. Bob.

Thanks Bob.....The f75ltd is a good unit a good relic and coin detector I just want depth and calmer........hh....Dan

Hi Dan. I'm have an F75-LTD and feel exactly like you do. I feel that it's more suited for relic hunting than for coinshooting ( I'm sure some would disagree with me , but that's my opinion ). I'm seriously considering trading mine in for an Omega and possibly a Delta for my wife and daughter to use. I hear guys say that the F75-LTD is a great coin detector but the stability is an issue for me. I can't run it in BP or CL modes without going insane - The DE mode is noisy enough to handle. The manual says that using the BP or CL modes with a slow sweep speed works well in trash - Not in my trashy sites. I'll be happy to sacrifice a little depth for more stability. Just my 2 cents worth. Happy Hunting! - CoinShooter-Craig

Tinfoil - If that's the case it sounds like Dan and I both have broken LTD's. I just can't stand trying to figure out which beeps are actually targets - Kinda frustrating in my book. Again - Just my inexperienced opinion. CoinShooter-Craig

Quote from NASA TOM:

The F75 does not come without fault. The learning curve is proper, , , but steep. Most folks will utilize the 'overdrive' features TOO soon......and lose trust/respect/appreciation for the unit. When this unit is set up for a more tame power setting ......it'll still trump most other detectors.............and........will then expedite the proper learning curve.

And there is to much to this machine that you need to know. Mine is quite as a mouse and is hot as a 2 dollar pistole. Either one, you got a bad coil or two you just don't understand how to run the machine. I would rather talk then type. I got thousands of hours on the F75 and a couple hundred on the LTD. The LTD IS NOT A F75. So give me a PM and we will talk about it. Up to You. HH :D: :D: Jerry aka Tinfoil

Omaga 8000 is what I got and it is fun, deep and fast. And does realy well in iron

Give Tinfoil a shout. You really may have a coil problem. Mine also runs very quiet, whether running it hot or tame. It is to good of a coin hunting machine to give up on. HH jim tn

Hi Jerry. Maybe I am giving up on the F75-LTD too soon , but I'm trading it in on an new Omega with the 3 Coils and a new Delta ( not even up , but I'm very pleased with the deal.). The Delta will be for my fiancee , daughter , or friends to use ( plus back-up for me if need be). I've been reading people's posts about the Omega and I've yet to read anybody say anything bad or complain about it. Actually - Most of them rant and rave about how good it is and how fun to use it is. I know that it won't be as deep as the LTD , but from what I hear it is pretty close with the 11" DD on it. Another thing is that I've been checking out the classified section and there seems to be quite a few F75-LTD's up for sale and very few Omega's. Anyways , Thanks for your offer of advice - that is very kind of you. I hope that you enjoyed your Easter weekend. Happy Hunting! CoinShooter-Craig

Hey - Thanks Jerry. I should get them by mid or the end of this upcoming week. When I have a little time under my belt using them I'll post what I think of them ( and hopefully some good finds ). It just may be a while before I get some decent hours logged onto them because I'm on mandatory 50 hour minimum work weeks at the factory - more than that if we want. I won't complain thou - It's better than not working at all - especially in this economy. Happy Hunting and have fun while you're out there! CoinShooter-Craig

Wow, over a thousand hours on the F75. I've not quite got to 1000 hours yet. I'm sure you know a lot about the F75 by now. I always enjoy your posts.
thanks again.:clapping:
