Excal Loot - Old lake ..... Don't quite cut it..[/size]
[size=medium]Well I'm hunting about a 200 yard section of beach area at this lake
I hunt usally ankle to waist deep, grid up and down.
The reason I think I'm doinig so well is the water level has been dropping
The lake is shallow - I can walk about 30 yards from shore and only be waist deep.
I've been over these areas 20 times, there really shoudn't be any more tones left.
my guess, by the time I get to the other end of the beach
The water level has dropped enough to start at the other end again.
The area about 0 - 10' from shore seems to produce the most finds.
The sand seems to be pulled out or pushed up on shore and exposes the hard clay bottom and rocks
These areas seem to hold the most.....
When I first started hunting this lake, I was posting a great deal of old coins
It seems that I have passed that era in the lake for I haven't really found any in while....
I hunt at night, the water is calm - like a mirror - no distractions -
It is a time when I become one with the Excal..........

[size=large]I seperate the trash in my pouch - Leave the pull tabs, wieghts, and beer caps
in the trash can on the way out of the lake
Its like an archaeology dig, when I use a screen...
Pieces of dishes, electrical outlets, tile, All show up in the screen[/size]
[size=x-large]14K and 6 - Ice(Diamonds)[/size]
[size=x-large]Size 13 and a Half[/size]
[size=large]I Know - Ya Right, He tied a fishing line to a pull tab!!
rest asured, this came from the drink just as ya see it!![/size]
