CAM LOCK

I took my Spectrum out today and noticed that the shaft was loose and discovered the Cam Lock on the front of the detector was cracked. Has anyone ever replaced one? Can I do it myself?

If you can get the lock from WHITES it is a snap. You just need the lock and a little glue.

Send an email directly to Steve Howard at the factory to see what they can do for you. SHoward@whiteselectronics.com

Just curious cant you use the PLUGGER locks? Best thing we ever put on a straight shaft..... for about $15.

I'd say that due to the location, the shaft lock that Plugger sells probably won't fit very well. If it were mine, I'd go with the OEM shaft cam lock, rather than a shaft lock.
Since the old one is broken anyway, it should be easy to remove and White's usually doesn't charge much (if anything) for these kinds of parts. I'm guessing the new cam lock would simply slip over the rod and click into place.

It's 3 pieces and 2 glue together. I've done them.
