Can a USA dealer Make money selling Deep Tech?

I loved the three detectors I tested. Smart, Gold and RG1000. But I'm a Relic Hunter. Coin Hunters need more discrimination and if no meter is present additional tone id. What is every ones opinion?

I hear cricket's

I agree with you. I use the Vista Gold for relic hunting but It would be nice to have expanded discrimination with 4 tone ID to hunt for coins. It would be an awesome detector.

To me, the Vista Gold is one huge "sleeper machine" For a high frequency machine I am blown away by the depth it can reach. Never mind the super separation and reset that it has. I agree with both you and Richard in terms of adding multi-tone ID and expanded disc. I know I would have one, maybe even two possibly even three! I feel Deep-Tech has really set a new benchmark for high frequency / depth in a detector. IF they would just tweak it.... For me, an optional TID meter would be the cat's meow!

I've had my eye in one for a while too. I was hoping the US distributorship/ service center issues would have worked themselves out by now.
I have no reservations about buying one or with Deeptech customer service. In the event it should ever need service my preference would be to have the work done locally rather than sending it to Bulgaria. It's a time and cost issue for me.
I'm hopeful we will see a US service center in the future.

I totally agree with you about service center and that's why want explane why up to this moment this was not happened. Hope, Richard will confirm.
For us is little difficult to sort service center from a distance of thousands of miles and that's why prefer the dealers who want to sell our products to make this.
This does not mean that we will not help with all parts and so on. Because, when we contacted with a repair company in USA, I could not understand why they wanted :1. 15 USD more from us ( respectively from you ) in comparassion with what they want from other companies; and 2. Why we or you must pay 60 USD for coil replacement only .With one word - we will send for example new coils and furthermore must pay somebody to send this new coil to you. To be fair -for me this is very strange LOL :)

It would be a HUGE seller here in the USA.

I know this feeling. Here we have better situation. I'm dealer of DeepTech from Warsaw in Poland - Europe. I'm selling to Belgium, Russia, USA, Australia without any problems, but your market is huge if we compare to our European conditions... so you need true service with spare parts on place, or fast outside service...

Here we have problem with Minelab and Garrett.... if you want repair even under warranty you need to wait... usually few months... so you know without spare machine... you are out of the game.

Man, I wanted a Vista Gold pretty bad.
But, I am a coin and jewelry hunter.
Not a relic hunter.
Without the expanded disc range, not something I can really use.
Bump it up to three tones would be great as well.
Everything else about the detector is just fine for a beep and dig detector.
Maybe a smaller control box.

:) Interesting :)
The most finds, published here:

are coins :)

How would a person in the USA buy a DeepTech Ground Pioneer 4500 unit? What is the US$ price? The DeepTech site says the buyer would be responsible for getting it thru customs and picking it up at the port... The only North American Dealer shown is in Canada, but the site comes up unavailable. How are you guys using the Vista getting the DeepTech units?

You want to buy it like company or private person? That is first question... Here in Europe it depends what papers for customs do you need. Maybe I can help with this.

If I am digging everything above iron looking for micro jewelry in the foil range and above including all pulltabs, can slaw, etc. wouldn't this detector fit the good for me? I am currently using a gold bug pro DP. Will the DTG be a step up and how?

That's basically what I hunt for.

Think there was a comparison somewhere.
Probably the person to ask is Keith Southern, he has had both machines but, is more of a relic hunter https://www.youtube.com/user/relics1864/videos

I haven't used the Gold yet, on its way, read that the Gold it will disc up to small foil, so it has an extreme expanded iron range. From past experiences there are small gold chains and charms that target ID in the iron range.
So even if you disc out foil, you will miss them. Even if you have a detector that will pick those up in the first place.

If you want to get away from an Target ID screen machine with touchpads, menus, like I did, The Vista Gold might work out for you.
Another used one could be for sale shortly by another forum member.......

I am really thinking about trying a Vista Gold. Just need to sell off a couple detectors. I like what I see in the videos on this detector.

Lloyd, I have owned the Teknetics G2 ( same machine as Goldbug DP) and can say that I feel the Vista Gold would be a step up for micro jewelry because of the higher frequency. 25 kHz for the Vista Gold vs. 19 khz for the G2/DP, depending on how you plan to use these two machines. The Gold is slightly more sensitive to small gold chains and small gold items. The drawback on the machine you have is that the target ID drops dramatically with each inch in depth that a very small gold item sinks. Well down into the iron range of ID in just a few inches. If you set the tonebreak for iron low enough to pick micro jewelry out of the ground several inces deep, then you will also dig lots of iron. The lack of target ID will encourage more digging of likely micro gold items although you will still dig some iron. Both machines are very good on target seperation and iron unmasking on normal sized coins and rings. If you are serious about micro jewelry hunting at a beach, then the Goldbug II is the ultimate machine at I believe 72 kHz. I has iron silencer and will find the very smallest micro jewelry. This is a specialty small gold machine to be used for only gold nugget hunting and on the beach in the dry sand at a place like a volleyball court. You hunt the court with a regular detector. Remove all larger items. Then hunt with the Goldbug II and a very fine sand sifter, like the ones that come in the kids play toys for the beach. Very small holes in those sifters. You will be amazed at how many hundreds of small nonferrous targets you will dig. Takes a lot of patients to hunt micro jewelry. You do not want to hunt this style just anywhere on a beach or a park. You would dig so much small foil and aluminum that it would drive you crazy. The Vista Gold and Goldbug DP/G2 are for regular small items and gold. The Goldbug DP/G2 would be better in modern trash because of the ID meter, and the Vista Gold would be better suited for relic hunting because of the two tone ID. Just my opinion of course...Stuart

Thanks Frank, nice of you to say. I would love that. Talking detecting all day. Meeting detectorists from all over. Wonder how much that would cost? But then how much detecting time would I have to give up to run a business like that? Tough to give up my free time, not enough of it already. My wife has mentioned more than once that I should look into it. With her being from China maybe we could get a U.S./China dealership. LOL!!! I know several people over there that want to buy a detector after seeing what they can do. Really fun hunting beaches that have not seen too many detectors...Stuart

Thanks for the advise. I have been looking at the Gold Bug II as well.
