this is not one of my finds.

my mate passed away 2 months ago and i am going through his vast finds boxes sorting out all his stuff to sell.

all the money will go to his widow.

i need some info on this item as i have never seen anything like it before.

it is quite heavy and made of brass/copper i think

it has an indian headdress on one side with 13 stars above and one penny and 1877

on the other side it has a buffalo looking left and seven stars on the top with nickel at the base

size is:40mm across and 48mm to the hoop at the top

any information would be much appreciated

I don't believe this is a coin. I am not aware of an american coin like this. It appears to be a type of pendant for a necklace or keychain.

thanks for your reply john.

i did not think it was a coin as it is to big.

being over the other side of the pond i wondered if it was made for a special occassion in the usa

maybe just modern gimmicky stuff ?
