Every time i go to a park with houses around it and use the Deus dogs start barking, and keep barking until i leave. Can they hear the beeps through the radio waves to the head phones? This never happened with all of my other detectors with wired headphones.

:rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::clapping:

They can have had them bark at sites and cut machine off they stop and yes I was still at the site lol

:rofl: Thanks for the chuckle

How do you know they STOP barking when you leave , if you have left?

The houses are around the park and some 100 feet away, a block wall surrounds between the houses and the park, two or three of the houses the dogs bark as i get near, then when i get further away they stop barking, i go back near the house and they start barking again, they can't see me so i know it is not that.

Ah-ha! the plot thickens , now we have to figure in the possibility of smell , as in , how do you? Up wind or down?

the coil does give off a high pitched squeal, I can hear it with the headphones I'm sure animals can hear that high of a freq... as most humans can not. So in my book and I should state I work as a wildlife management specialist for a living

I run headphones and remote because I'm filming and it drives them crazy also was using it like that one day and had a gobbler gobbling at it seriously it was funny now the deus doubles as a turkey call

Wow! I was thinking the same thing about dogs barking! Part of why I got the XP pinpointer so I wouldn't set off dogs barking in the houses next to the park but that didn't help either. I thought it was just me

Guys the communication from the coil to all other parts of the detector is a radio wave not a high pitched sound. There is no sound until received by an antenna processed and amplified and lastly put through a speaker. No magic

If you throw your detector a good dog will bring it back.

I know you can really mess with the coyotes using pinpoint with the external speaker. I've had them howling all around me. Try it sometime.
