I have had one for a little while now and really like it. I have tried the F70, F2, and F5. None of them had the stability that the Omega has. I have used the Omega in the same place I used the other detectors and thought I was using them correctly. I say this because someone is always quick to yell operator error when someone dont like a detector or it doesnt perform up to the hype. I also own an explorer se pro and a cz3d. I find myself using the Omega more than any of them. IN MY AREA, the Omega is real accurate on TID, of course the deeper targets may jump a little but I find that if the ID stays in the high coin area but jumps around it is usually a coin. I have dug some deep targets with mine. I posted a while back I dug a fairly small bullet at 9 inches. I dug a nickel that was at least 9 inches deep. I have dug some civil war bullets that were 9 inches or so. The depth is close to the explorer and the 3d. The stock coil is ok but I would for sure get the 11" and 5" DD coil. They are awesome. The 11" definately added some more depth for me. Not a whole lot, maybe an inch or so but that is enough. The small coil is awesome in trashy areas too. I really like mine and have tried quite a few detectors. I plan on sticking with this one, it just fits my needs...;o)

If it is coins your are looking for, this is the unit to go with. It is light weight and spot on with TID. I love my omega and bought a T2 because of it, but I am actually thinking of selling my T2 just because I love the Omega so much.

Elton I can attest to its stability, and I was very impressed with it in heavy EMI (although it can be a chatterbox when the coils not in motion).

Unfortunately I haven't put enough hours on it to attest to its depth capabilities (I got side tracked with the CZ70 and F75 LTD

IMO, the ONLY way to do so with any validity is to take your Omega out with one or more of your other detectors and check targets real time with both detectors, of course with only one powered up at a time. Any thing less is just a hunch at best.

appreciate your time and explainations..

After very careful consideration.................. Just not the detector I want.. I am going to get a T2- LTD.

My T2 is an awsome coin machine, and I feel after reading the reviews and doing research the T2 LTD is a step up.

As you know I like the way the T2 works in all situations... "AN AWSOME PERFORMER"

My Omega with the 11" coil goes deeper and IDs better than my T2. More stable and locks onto targets better. And so far I haven't found anywhere I can get the sensitivity above 60. I can max out my T2 in the same areas. Of course lighter than the T2, uses only one 9 volt battery, and you won't get the battery box wet when you set it down. Can't believe either LTD would be much deeper and I know they're not as stable. Half the price too.

Hear you go...(honest!) In my central North Carolina dirt, the Omega with the 11" DD is both deep and stable! Dare I say as deep or deeper than my F75 on silver coins? Pretty darned close! It is not as deep on lower conductors (nickels in particular), but is an incredible pleasure to use thanks to the great stability and very, very quiet operation. Unless you're in a junky area, you'll be checking to make sure it's on!...it can be that calm. However, if you walk over an old silver coin it will get your attention quick! As another poster noted, the ID stability is great too.
