Can i take off cover of x terra 7.5 dd coil ?

They come off. Just be careful to edge if off all around to avoid cracking it.
It's a good idea to take it off periodically to clean out any debris that could affect Ground Balance.

What Old Longhair said. + I remove my coil cover every day of use cause the soil I detect is highly mineralized and dusty, dusty, dusty. So the buildup between cover and coil is significant. It makes a big difference in performance.
On my smaller 6" coil, I use red electrical tape to seal out the dust because the cover is very hard to remove...just a suggestion.

I take my covers off and throw them away.

with the price of a coil why would you throw it away and take a chance of damaging your coil ?
