On findmall I seen the video of the russian metal detector. I found the picture but not the video. I wanted to watch it again . It was called a sorex and looked pretty good.

Hi 7cents; It's on the metal detecting Forum but you just have to search for it. By the way, it "IS" a piece of junk.Good for 6" and NO Ground Balance. The discrimination is a joke. Liken it to an old Radio Shack detector. Their a joke. PS: How you feeling??? PEACE:RONB

Sorry, I am not able to help you with a foreign detector! May God Bless! Amen! Ma Betty

I saw the video I would have to say it would go more then 6inches, but I have never seen one operate. That thing was getting more depth than any I have seen air tested. I Know air test do not mean anything , but I would like to see one in person. I like my minelab , but there are alot of other good detectors out there also.
I am doing alot better thanks , but I think Liz is getting it now.

Hi 7centsworth; How's Liz??? On the Sorex, I guess you've got your head set on it. I don't know. I gave you solid advice based on 39 years of "HARD" detecting. I've been detecting literally all over the World. Used "every" detector type made since 1969. Everything from BFO to VDI. I've even dove on shipwrecks. The Sorex is a TR ( Transmit/Recieve) type detector. It has only "manual" Ground Balance which is a joke. It was patterned after the old Toltec 100 from 1989. The circuitry is also very prone to breaking down. Good Luck trying to get it fixed ok. Anyway, There's an old saying : "You can lead a horse to the water but you can't make him drink it." I just hope you don't take a bath on it. Anyway let us know how everyone is doing ok. PEACE:RONB

PS Sometime I' WILL share my story ok. Thanks.

Hi 7centswoth; Glad to hear she's ok. Just keep an eye on each other ok. Prayers; Best Wishes. PEACE:RONB
