Can you detect with you opposite arm? Elliptical vs 10.5 DD

Have been using my 705 Gold with the elliptical coil. Nice and light and can swing for a long time without tiring. Just took out my new 10.5 DD yesterday for two hours. Wow, what a weight difference . I try to use proper ergonomics. I keep my arm close to my body and swing partly by turning my waist. When my left arm tired, I switched to the right arm. Kind of uncoordinated at first. Pinpointing and wiggling to tease out a target was tough. After about 30 minutes I had it down pat. Anyone else successfully switch off when your dominant arm tires?

Sure can and do no problem. That really helps with coils like the 10.5", they are to front heavy. They do go deep though.

The balance with a 10.5 coil is greatly improved if you mount it backward.
I don't have any idea why it is made with the ears behind center, but the effect is of giving the coil weight more leverage.

Only swing with my right, but have learned to dig with the lesche right handed digger with my left hand as so I never have to dismount the machine from my right arm. HH all!

I tried this a few years ago and kept bumping the coil with my foot. It does feel lighter. I guess its something you could train yourself to do.

These are the original Explorer XS and Explorer II coil housings.........how nice would it be if minelab started putting the windings in a pro coil housing?

I have a bad back and I got the Lejermon harness several years ago. With that I can MD for a good 8 hours while using the 10.5 DD 7.5 coil.

another good harness is the swingy thingy.
