:canadaflag:Bluenoser's deep thought

to run as to win the race. If we take that journey with Jesus, we can't lose! :)

Think it was a group called 'Alabama' that sang a song about running a race against the clock, had to pick up the pace as there is no room for second place...etc.

There is only 2 places and first place gets you into Heaven with Jesus - no one wants to be in second place. But the song isn't about God or Jesus just running faster and faster to and fro.

Good thought Leslie. Thanks for the reminder.

Here it is:

I'm In A Hurry
By Alabama
Transcribed by Mike Frazer

(No chords)
I'm in a hurry to get things done
Oh I rush and rush until life's no fun
All I really gotta do is live and die
But I'm in a hurry and don't know why

Don't know why I have to drive so fast
My car has nothing to prove
It's not new
But it'll do zero to sixty in five point two

CHORUS:
I'm in a hurry to get things done
Oh I rush and rush until life's no fun
All I really gotta do is live and die
But I'm in a hurry and don't know why

Can't be late, I leave in plenty of time
Shakin' hands with the clock
I can't stop
I'm on a roll and I'm ready to rock

(Chorus)

Oh, I hear a voice
That says I'm running behind
Better pick up my pace
It's a race and there ain't no room for someone in second place

(Chorus (x3 w/chords & x1 a capella)
