:canadaflag:Deep thought on the Lord's Prayer

Leslie(nova scotia)

Well-known member
From the land of the Bluenose.....was thinking the other day... when did I learn the Lord's Prayer and under what circumstances? Then i got to talking to Steve Micheal at work who isMicmac (first nation person or as you Yanks say an Indian) who said thatthe only part (he is RC) of that prayer that means anything to his people is "Our father" which got me to thinking ..............are we all not our father of this earth and of the Lord. Steve went on to explain his conflict between his native beliefs and that of the church. How the circle of life revolves around the grand parents, bear and eagle.

Just got me into a deep thought my fellow Christians. Is it not that all of us are "Our Father's' of this planet in His imagine and design?

Yes, Leslie, we are all born in God's image but because of Adam and Eve disobeying His warning, we are all born sinners, too, and need a Savior, and our Savior is Jesus, born of a virgin in the flesh of man, as the only begotton Son of the Father, so to be with our Father and Lord Jesus now, we must confess we are sinners and be forgiven to have God's saving grace to be with Him forever more! God is a fair Judge and He knows everyones' hearts but the Bible says, nobody comes to the Father but by Him (Jesus)!

In the beginning He created Adam and Eve in perfectness and the Garden of Eden was perfect, but because of their sinning against God, they were cast out of the Garden, because they would have lived and aged on and on, without ever dying. How awful would it be to have cancer and other diseases and to live with these and never able to die, that is why they couldn't live in God's perfect Eden any more, because they became imperfect and that is exactly why we needed a Savior, with God coming to take all of our sins upon Himself, but we must ask for forgiveness by repenting of all our sins and turning around on the road of life by not sinning willfully any more! And yet if we do sin, we have an Advocate, Jesus, to intercede for us before the Father whenever satan the accuser comes and accuses us of sinning! We may slip and stumble once in a while, being human, but we don't willingly continue to sin against God, our Father! Hope this helps??? God Bless! Betty
