:canadaflag:Just Ordered my MXT 300,,

Hello from Alberta, Canada,I just ordered my MXT 300 and the 4x6 coil on Sunday afternoon, then found this web site forum in the evening. I am looking forward to learning the MXT and posting my questions and finds on this forum. I have used many detectors since 1976 and can't wait to get my hands on the MXT 300. I mainly hunt the water with Minelabs and the Whites Dual Field PI and the MXT 300 will be my main land detector.
Good Luck Everyone

Welcome to the forum !!
How close are you to the mountains ?
MXT is a good unit for gold detecting .Is that why you ordered the small coil ?

Joel,

I can see the mountains from my home, I'm about 45 mins away; some day I will make the time to search for raw gold, but for now I am content with finding gold jewelry in the water & on land. The smaller coil will no doubt work great in some of the trashy areas I hunt and perhaps closer to the water break along our beach. I think the 4x6 & 6x10 could be great for finding raw gold, so no doubt I will give it a shot too. I just ordered Jeff Fosters book on the MXT, sounds like a very good read for me.

You're going to love it! Congrats on one of the best machines in my opinion. I wouldn't have any other. HH, Nancy
