From the land of the Bluenose.....scabbed a traffic detail yesterday at time and a half so that I could get my quota of verbal abuse.....have missed it and did get my share especially from a cranky 60 year old lady who thought she owned the airport and that all Canucks wore hip rubbers and fished for a living. Lord love a duck! The language that spewed from her mouth would have made a steveadore on the Halifax Waterfront turn red! Gave her the "Vulcan Salute" saying live long and prosper and she clapped her yap and went on her way. Great way to spend a day off.

Anyway Marie had Otto for the day so after a few butt kickings (received)playing scrabble I decided to walk over to the nearest playing field and noddle around while doing the drunken sailor grid.

Nice finds Les. I feel your pain. I can't go anywhere without me reading glasses.

It sounds like a wonderful day. I wish I had time to go out and play in the cold. It would be nice to not have to hurry up. A man needs some time to himself.

Nice story, as usual Les and I think you Bluenosers haven't a pocket among you without a hole in it. You find more coin "noodling" around the neighborhood than I do in a day long outing.
Good for you on the wallet, too. I found one recently that had been lost for years and when I contacted the owner, she told me to not bother as the license had longs ince been replaced and there ws nothiong of value ion it - which was the truth.
But last Xmas I found one laying in the druggists parking lot, bulging with bills. There hadda be a couple thousand dollars in there. I rushed it back inside the chemists and found the owner, ID'ed by his license. He said it was all he had for Xmas and, well, basically all he had. He shed a tear and gave me and my wife each a Jackson for our trouble. We shed a tear for him and his family and we all seemed to have something in our eyes as we left.
