Went to the beach again today and found my first large cent! A 1845 in pretty decent shape at a whopping 16 inches down! I was hunting with a friend of mine who usually spanks me when i used my old detector and now i pick up coins walking right behind him. He would not believe me about how deep i found it and i had to burry it again just to prove it to him. LOL. I am amazed every time i use this thing, He had to turn his sensitivity down halfway in order to stop falsing and i turned mine up to 26 and was running smooth!

Good Deal. Now those would be great to find on a FULL Dig with the video. Congratulations on the large cent!!!!

what beach where you at...i'm heading downn south soon...were you using an etrac...sounds like it....and what program.....ginger

yeah i was using my etrac and i was hunting buckroe beach in hampton. I was down at the end near the pier where the dance hall and bath house was in the late 1800's where the bath house use to be. found it after a mini noreaster blew through. Went back yesterday and only found modern coins not even old trash.. Weird how beach hunting is, you can hit a pocket of goodies in one little area and nothing else for the day.
