If I am out of place for saying this in this part of the forum I apologize and if the fella is telling me the the truth I apologize but I have the feeling I am getting the run around and want you all to know and be careful. Quite some time ago I put a "For Trade" post on the forums, I had a new Dremel tool that I was offering for trades, not sure what forum he say my post but sent me an email saying that he had a brand new set of Koss UR30 headphones that he would trade me. I answered his email telling me that I would do the trade with him, as many of you that have done business with me know that I don't mind sending out an item with trust on getting payment,etc. I did the same in this case, I sent out the Dremel and he received it on February 11th. (his email to me - i received the dremel i will send out the phones out my next day off which appears to be the 16th thanks Macon). I waited and waited and sent him another email asking if he has mailed the headphones out yet, he replied back (No but i will Monday Morning thanks for waiting on me Macon). Again I waited, sent him another email, recieved this on Feb. 27th. from him- i will send them out as soon i get home. I just have more important things going on right know at that time headphones wasn't on my mind when i heard to go out of town thanks for understanding Macon. Sent him another email last night and he replied today - Still out of town thanks. I am not one to say anything against another person matter of fact this is my first time, it isn't about the $$$ as I am not out too much, its just the idea of it, almost like being lied to & do not like liars. I am a man of my word like many of you fine folks on the forum are & this really burns me and wanted you all to be aware in case you consider doing a deal w/him. I am not going to tell you his full name and full address but will tell you his name is Macon and lives in Texas and I believe he might go by poohbear or poohbear2170 on the forums. Like I said earlier I am not sure where he saw my original post about my Dremel trade post, he might not even be a member here. Thanks all! Steve.

I figured he has had more than enough time, from February 11th. to now March 5th. Shouldn't take that long to put a set of headphones in the mail.ZOFCHAK said:Thank for the heads up! I am not going to do anything "legal" about it but thanks for the reply Elton. If he is anything like me he will come good on his word. If I received a negative remark on any of the metal detecting forums I probably wouldn't be able to sleep at night and would walk if I had to to make things right.Elton said:

I'm really sorry to hear this. I pride myself in delivering my side of the deal every time I buy, sell or trade anything. It's a real shame that not everybody operates the way that you and I (as well as many others) do. There are always a few bad apples no matter where you go. I am sorry that you came across one. Not sure if kicking him off the forum is the right thing to do, possibly he might have a legitimate excuse for taking so long but I am having my doubts. I sent him an email letting him know that I made a thread about our trade deal on the forums and hopefully he will get back to me. Will keep you all posted.MHirschmann said:

I see where you are coming from, but it also seems you have given him plenty of opportunity to do the right thing and he hasn't. I know people go through times where things get pushed off, but leaving someone else hanging as a result and continuing to promise resolve is simply not right. I know I will never deal with him after your experience, just like I would expect that nobody would want to deal with me if I treated people that way. Sounds like a case of walks like a duck, talks like a duck to me. I hope you end up happy in this deal. Who knows, he might just satisfy his end of the deal just to make people like me sound stupid, which would be fine with me because then everyone goes home happy. I have had a number of messages over this issue and I thank all of you that have responded. Figured that I would give you all an update, here is how we stand as of this morning at least this is the email I received from him this morning -
Steve i will be coming back in town Thursday i will send out our headphones then OK !
As they say, time will tell. I am hoping he comes through so he won't have any troubles dealing on the forums if he chooses to do so. Thanks! Steve.

Thanks so much for the offer Steve, I don't need the headphones I have a nice set. Its just the idea of a person sticking or not sticking to his word, him & I made a deal and I held up my end and should also. I wanted to trade him for the Koss because I wanted them to dabble with, I like tinkering with electronics and wanted to put volume controls on them. Haven't heard from him since. We have all had our problems and things happen but come on this has been way too long. Shucks, four years ago I had 3 stints put in my heart and I was ready to go in about 4 days after.
