Carved up 1886 mex

Have any of you ever found a coin that has been carved out like this.
I dug this at an old pk at 8" when I first got it out
I thought it was chopped up because the dirt filled all the gaps. only after I washed it did I see it was cut this way.
 
They are called cut out coin jewelry. Usually worn as a pendant. Hand cut with wire saw. Some a really quite nice. Yours should clean up real well. Nice find...HH Ralph
 
ya it looks like there was a clasp on it.
