Berkut 6" search coil is deeper than you may expect.

Had the Berkut out again with the 6" search coil. Found my program 1 was a bit mild for this coil. Sure it went deep enough....had to see what this little sucker can do if I pushed it some. Switched to program 3. Just about everything was found in the hole beyond the end of the plug. Most targets were in the 5-7" range....... Was digging towards China for pulltabs. Can't believe how many were found in the 7" range. What's left of a pocketknife was about 7-8" deep. Pulled a decomposed pop can from about 9"

Thank goodness for the rain we got last night, softened up the ground enough to make it easier to dig. Results of 4 hours digging pictured below. Did find another ring, just a cheap pot metal, a junker. Did manage to find a $2 Toonie and a 50 cent coin.

No gold today, my lucky streak is broken...............

Rather pleased at the performance the 6" coil puts out, for a 6" coil on a VLF machine, better than the average small coil , it makes a great addition to the arsenal of weapons for the Berkut.

Amazing machine for sure! Thank you for the information. - Jim
