Change purse found...

Jack(IN)

New member
Went back to the "Wheat Firld" again and midway thru my hunt found at about four inches was a change purse, unfortunately no dimes or quarters, but there was a 42-P War Nickel, and six wheats(4 in the 30'2 and 2 in the 40's). Still an interesting find!

What was out in the field before? I know the feeling of finding a coin purse because I also found one 2 years ago and it only had 1 old Wheat penny in it. The rest were from the early 70's. At least your coin purse was better than the one I found.

Great spot to be detecting. What have you found since you started detecting there?

So far, nothing "old" but here's the take:
1 Sak Dollar, 4 clad quarters, 13 clad dimes, 2 silver Roosies, 3 Mercs, 18 clad nickels, 2 War Nickels, 7 Buffalo Nickels, 25 memorial cents, 65 wheat cents and two 1940's canadian cents...142 coins $6.07 total!

Not bad, Not bad at all. Just keep working it and I am sure your luck will change. Also, just remember that each time that this spot is plowed, that there are going to be new targets to find and good luck.
