Changing batterys

How do you change the battery in the control box? Mine seems to be kaput, it wont come on and when l put it on the charger l get no indication of it charging.

see if the charging wire is working on the coil and then plug it into the control box to be sure that that wire is working. maybe one of the wires is faulty. did you leave it plugged in for a while? if the control box is depleted it will take a few minutes for it to show that it is charging.

The detector should still be under warranty unless you have had it for years and if so, contact the US Service Center and they will replace it under warranty - and that way they replacement is done correctly and they can check if there is anything else that might be needed.

Hate to see people break open the detector when it could be done under warranty.

If your still detecting and already have a spare battery for it, the procedure is quite simple.Care and attention is required, just remove the 4 screws from the back of the remote,it will come apart, pay attention to rubbers on each end.Once opened its a matter of unpluging the battery and replacing it with the new one.Same with headphones, just coils has to be sent in.
