Changing search coils

Recently purchased X 35 - 9 inch coil and have installed it in position #2 with the original 9 inch L F coil in position #1. I am considering selling the L F coil and was curious what I should do with the position #1 coil in the remote? Is it best to eliminate it and if so what will happen to the info in position #2? Will it automatically move to position #1 or is it best to leave it as it is?

Hi Roger, When you sell your LF coil, just x out all the #s and put the X35 to # 1, I don't think it will change itself. Hope this helps. flintstone

That’s what I did when I got my HF coil and sold my LF coil

I'm assuming then that I will have to remove the X35 from the 2nd position before I reinstall it in the #1 slot? Otherwise I would have duplicate information in both #1 & #2. Was thinking this might mess up the remote? Thanks, R.

You can leave #1 empty, if you have the 35 in #2 just leave it there. Don't forget that you put #2 in the controller so when you turn it on it is set at #2.
