Changing the Frequency on the T2

Youngted

New member
I have no idea how to change the frequency on the T2 please help. Also once changed do you have to re set every time that you switch on the machine?

Here you go Ted....Hold the menu button down Do not release the button..Push the trigger switch forward to increse the frequency ..Pull it back to decrease the Frequency each frequency change requires a push of the menu button. Each Push will change it by one value. The LCD will display the frequency from F1 to F7 Default is F4.. It will go back to default when turned off. SO you have to rechange the frequency after turning off the machine unles you want factory preset of F4........ Just so you know. I get better results on Deep Silver at F1... Hits a little harder ....It's not a big change when you change it, but in trashy sites the lower F1 works better just a little. Can't promise you will get the same results..

Thanks for that Elton I will try it when I am next out. That will not be for a few days we in the south of UK are in for a soaking !

Hey guys i think that when you change the frequency from f4 you lose sensitivity..It even says it in the manual..
I noticed when im near power lines i cant even use f4.When i switch to f3 it quiets my machine down enourmously.
I think you lose depth when you switch from f4.They only recommend changing the frequency as a last resort..
Im getting this info from my manual....Hope i helped..

I used F1 on my T2SE this morning while hunting in the park and saw no changes in depth.... I was still pulling clad dimes at 5-7" depth. I'm going to try all the frequencies and see if there is any change in detection depth with all the frequencies.

I just wanted to add that when i do change the frequency.I usually bump up the sensitivity about 5 numbers to make up for the change...It seems to work out good for me but the best, deepest frequency is the factory f4 settings..
