Chasing wheats and dodging snow & rainstorms...

It is still very wet and sloppy hunting up this way. Had an inch of snow on the ground sat. morning. Found a $1.16 coin spill saturday afternoon before it rained, mixed in with a flattened bottlecap. 12 wheats...the first 9 were in my yard, the last three in a different yard a block away. Quite a difference in soil between the two, as you can see that the last three cleaned up a little better. The soil in general is horrid to copper up here. Oldest are the last two..1911 and 1919.

OH man, guys, send me some of that rain !..Nice hunting though !

Im about to start building a boat... rain rain rain. Hey McDave.... if you have dug that many wheats then your ratio sounds like its about time to dig a dime or two.... keep hunting that yard.

I was thinking the same thing Dew. My friends yard has produced some oldies....the house was built around 1903. Gonna try and get over there later today. Today is going to be perfect weatherwise, but the rest of the week is looking rather crappy.
