I wanted to take a minute to say hello. I am so far behind on posts that there is really no need to try to catch up. Even though I haven't been around to post this week, I have still mentioned you in my prayers. Hopefully, I will be getting back on track to keep up! I have been sick for a little over a week and of course trying to work at the same time. I have had a severe kidney infection (and I have only 1 kidney). The doctor keeps wanting to put me in the hospital but that would be a last resort since I don't have health insurance. I'm doing a little better than I was earlier in the week, but still pretty much feel like crap. I would appreciate prayers from those who are willing to pray. Thanks!

Thanks for praying, Mike. I have had this job for a year and a half. There is NO insurance. If you were hired after a certain date/year, then you were not eligible for insurance. Government cuts. When I quit teaching I lost that insurance and when Tim's plant shut down several years ago we lost that insurance. He has a little bit of coverage because of his partial disability, but he is self employed now (for many years) and doesn't have any kind of coverage that comes with a job... some jobs.

feel better soon. You might try drinking a little apple cider vinegar in the morning and in the evening. That stuff can do wonders for the body. Take care and God Bless.

Thanks! I have always heard that apple cider vinegar works wonders but the smell and taste is horrible!!! Might be worth trying to choke a little down to see what it does for me. We have some. I think I'll dig it out of the cabinet and give it a go.

You can Google it but a teaspoon of Lemon Juice (either fresh or out of the bottle) in a glass of warm water first thing in the morning helps too! Some of you may be wondering why it may not have helped me? Well ... ten years ago, I contracted Chronic Leukemia which left me with a weak immune system. I've done everything humanly possible to rebuild my immune system but I still catch many of the bugs in the winter time. Beyond the cold, I guess that's another reason why I don't like winter. The older I get ... the more difficult it has become to fight off the bugs.
