Terry found one the other day. I thought I would post some that I had found at a club hunt . These were donated by our coin dealer and then were put with other coins in small containers. They were then buried in a field. We called it a cache hunt.

I think the 3 - 1965's have a Masons symbol. The 1959?? Maybe golf? Not sure.

Never seen any myself, but they are different! I don't care for the Mason's either; my ex-husband does or used to belong to their lodge!

I don't support the mason's in anyway, but I do not feel having a penny that you dug up as being negative. I think that type off stuff is superstitious. just my 2 cents, not meant to offend anyones beliefs

Good point Goes4ever. Having the penny with a masonic symbol is not bad in itself. As long as it does not cause one to wonder what the symbol is to the point of becoming involved. The coins are great, the symbol and what it stands for are not. I have numerous books with the masonic symbol on it, but I don't consider them to be bad just because of it, they are great reference. My fathers tombstone has a masonic symbol on it. I don't consider the tombstone to be bad nor do I feel any animosity toward my father for being a mason, or my brother, who is a high ranking mason, but I don't like the symbol on my fathers tombstone, and I don't like my brother being involved, but I still love them both. Can't say what I would do if I found one of those coins. I would not consider it to be of value to my coin collection, but again the coin is not bad just because of a symbol.

Not superstitious, goes4ever! When you have something in your house or possession that is not godly brings trials because we are to think upon godly, pure, good and righteous things in life! Cliff says that they are just things when I tell him that I don't want certain things that remind me of satan's sin, but there are good spirits and also bad spirits and I don't want the bad ones in my home or around me! But if someone wants to collect different coins and has them in their collection is okay, as long as they don't worship their collection more than God! I prefer God's Supernatural and not satan's witchcraft and etc. To each his own, as far as they have come in the knowledge of Christ and God's Holy Word! I never intend to offend anyone, but I do speak the truth when needed and I know it is the truth through Jesus Christ, our Lord! God Bless! Betty

Ma--You also make a good point. As I said, the coin itself is not bad, but the symbol and what it stands for is. I would not have one in my collection. Not because of any superstition, but because I know in detail what the masons stand for. If someone who is not saved or weak in the faith were to have one or find one, they may wonder what the symbol is, investigate it and possibly fall victim to the deceit of the lodge. I know this is not the forum for voicing this, but all should beware of the power satan uses through the masonic lodge. I will gladly share my findings on this with anyone who desires. Just PM me and I will get back to you. We as Christians should be able to share our thoughts and beliefs with all, without offense being taken too much to heart. It is done in Love.
