This little sparrow has been hanging around my feeders lately. Notice he has no tail at all! Funny thing is he can fly just fine! Pete are you looking for another rescue! :)

he is already adapted for outside living - we rescue little caged birds who would probably not survive outside because they have lived in a cage all their lives and have been treated to having food brought to them...they wouldn't get that outside.

Remember the bumble bee is supposed to be aerodynamically incapable of flying (guess no one told the bumble bee.) Oh speaking of Bumble Bees I thought we had a few down in Lansing...turned out those 'Bumble Bees' are 'Carpenter Bees' - they are wood destroying pests. Who knew? Well guess I would have to say my brother-in-law who is part owner of a pest control company (and a minister).

I was kidding about the rescue. He seems to do just fine out there. As a matter of fact he sometimes shews others away in the feeder! :)

Kinda figured you were joking...just wanted to clarify for anyone else reading about rescues what and why we do bird rescues.

He is fed well at my feeder! He flys up there and sometimes kicks others out!

I thought about that, but it looks like he never had any???
