My mom knows how I like old coins so she gave me her big jar of coins yesterday and said go through them and see if you find some you want.
Well I did get seven pennies from the 40's and 50's and a 54 nickel. N silver but I did get five clad pennies from 1990 that had an unusual stamp on them.
Intenet research found that it is the stamp of the Moose Lodge organization. I have seen Mason stamps on pennies before but never the Moode Lodge.

Congrats on your coins from your mother's collection! I never saw one like that from the Moose Lodge...I guess they are all catching on and doing that for their club members! Maybe in a 100 years or more they will be valuable...if you live that long that is! :) God Bless! Betty

So many people do things to coins not knowing they are doing something illegal. I see coins in coin shops that are done that way, and it is not enforced. We used to put coins on the tracks for the trains to run over. I did that when President Eisenhowers funeral train came through our town in Illinois back in the '70's. Nice coin to have in your collection Mike, and you never know what it will do in the future. I always like searching through large amounts of coins. You never know what you are gonna find.
