Was off work today so we did a little early Christmas shopping and got some change back at a store and noticed the distinct "clink" of the silver sound when I got the change. Well I checked it out when I got in the car and I was correct in what I heard.
Got this 64' quarter back in change. I'll take that change anyday, and didn't even have to use my metal detector.

The reason I thought of doing this was my father in law needed Cigarettes, no bank around, no Plastic available, but he had some old coins he had thrown in a coffee mug and was going to send my sister in law to the store with them to buy a pack of cigarettes. She stopped by our house(knows I collect coins) and ask what coin this was? It was a buffalo nickel. There was 3 more and even a 1962 Quarter. So, I gave her $5.00 and told her to take the change back to him. I have been convenience store "sorting" for a couple of years and have gotten probably a gallon bucket full of different things. Including a Presidential Dollar with no edge lettering, and various errors!! The girl was shocked when I sold the Presidential and gave her a good finders fee.
