Not sure if it is the heat and laborous work I have been doing or what but just can't find time to do much. Seems whenever I sit down with the laptop on my lap I fall asleep about the time it is fired up and ready to go.

I have projects to do but no time to get to them. Finally have a room to call my own so I can store the detectors, finds, etc. and the Q-Chord too. Was going to be a place to find quiet time to study the Bible, play music and give more care to the detectors....just no time to do anything but drag things there and leave them...still left the room a mess.

Then the other day finally decided enough is enough and pulled everything out of the garage...trying to sort into piles of like items and pitch things that have gone unused and are trash. Got called into work twice in one day...yard looked like a yard sale and there was none going on. Put up a sign..."this is not a yard sale - keep out". By the end of the day it was still a mess. Didn't want to feed the mosquitos any more so left the stuff outside overnight....then we got a severe thunderstorm drenching my tools, power equipment and all the other stuff and had to toss everything I could into the garage during the storm. Garage looks worse than it did before and still no time to pull it all out again and sort through it and also wipe down the tools and things.

This weekend is Bud Bash weekend....the local bar hosts this every year and drunks come up here to get stupid and do stupid things. Some even qualify for a special night at the county sheriff department hotel. So much for evolution and people getting smarter. I have to work 5 pm to 1 am Friday night and Saturday night.

I still have to get to the church to clean it yet. Last time I had the time to do my lessons for mentorship and for Bible study of the Cross was the 15th of the month. Nice to get a pay check but man this is killing me that so many things are not getting done. So no detecting...very little time to even come to the forum to see friends and family. Hardly even see the wife any more.

Well anyway, just wanted to let you all know I didn't disappear off the face of the earth or get mad and split out of some rage. Just no time.

God bless you all and prayers for those in need

Pete

...When ya have to work;a LOT of stuff gets relegated to the back burner-Unfortunately,one of those things for me is metal detecting;too-My job is very physically demanding;some days after work all I do is drag my tired, sore carcass home and collapse in bed...JUST REMEMBER:The LORD got you that job,and its way up there on your priority list-Every thing else will just fall into place....
Steve!!!

I figured you were busy! God bless and we will see you as time allows! :)

I worked 3rd shift for 15 years. Sure got a lot done. Well last year I moved to 2nd shift and that is one shift thats hard to get things done. One day I was talking to a co worker about not being able to get much done when he said.... does it have to get done now???
Made me rethink and start a " whats the hurry outlook" to getting things done.
Another thing that helps is since high school even to this day I use a "thing to do " list. Helps me keep orginized, helps remind me what to do and gives me a sence of getting things doen when I cross them off.
Nice talking with you again Pete

Good to hear from you, Pete! Jobs keep us busy or detecting often keeps us busy and difficult to do justice to both when trying to do everything that needs done and :detecting: too! But like WG Steve said, Your job is most important right now to get your bills paid and when it is time to leave and do something else, it will happen in God's timing and not yours or ours! Wait upon the Lord and He will renew your strength and guide you on the right path!

God Bless!

...I'm tempted to go to Texas and work a few months. A guy I work with at the motorcycle shop leaves next week to work for FEMA putting tarps on roofs and says he'll be paid $7000 per month. The catch...he'll work 7 days a week. If I were 20 years younger I would probably go along but at my age I don't think I could handle the heat. Hang in there buddy, got you guys in my prayers.
