Well I was at a new park and hitting up the outskirts of the park where a home used to be in the 90s. So I was about to check another area as I headed up a area I got a strong beep in the 20's tid. Loud. I bend down to check with pro pointer and it's less than a inch below. I don't know if it's real or not but it's old that's for sure.

One coin website says 1500-1600s this will probably be the oldest coin I find if it's legit.

Have you checked out this site. It's pretty good for the chinese coins. I would first start in the Qing Dynasty section.

It looks genuine, and it's not that unusual to find old Chinese coins. They have been abundent on the Australian goldfields, and I found one (my oldest find) with my X Terra 70 in one of our local parks...it was only about 4 to 5" down. Congratulations on the find. Unfortunately, because there are so many of them around, they aren't worth that much. HH

It's funny that a coin from 1500s 1600s and 1700s is like a wheat penny made here. I like it a lot. It's crazy to think of all the hands that might have handled it.

I have one too but have never researched it. I was told that you find them alot around railroad towns because the Chinese workers built most of the old railroads. I guess it's probably my oldest coin too, maybe I should research it a little. I found it several years ago.
