I listened to a lady preacher or teacher last night and she was telling about how a bride was purchased by the one who wanted her to marry and he would pay a dowry to the father for his daughter! Well, in a way this is what God did for His Bride, by sending Jesus to die upon the cross for our sins by paying the ultimate full price for our sins that we might be saved and be the Bride of Christ, but it is up to each of us whether male or female to accept Jesus as our own personal Savior and Lord and become a part of God's family through acceptance by confessing our sins and being forgiven for them in God's merciful love and then adopted into His Heavenly Family as brothers and sisters of Christ! He asked our heavenly Father and paid the price for us! No greater love is there than to lay down our lives for a friend and Jesus is our greatest Friend of all! Amen!
