Christmas Eve On the Delaware

Preface; as some of you old folks know, this is kind of a ritual for me, these days. So, indulge me, please, as I present a story I got together years ago, just for this forum. I think it always needs sharing this time of year. There are many new faces on this forum. I wish I had some new material but do not. For those of you who have not read this, please read it. I just think it is special. Merry Christmas to you and yours...and thank you for reading it.

I have heard this story told several times as a sermon illustration. The renditions varied in degrees. So I researched it and bounced it against several sources, none of which were copyrighted. So I present to you what I believe to be the most accurate recollection of what I have chosen to call

are many story's like that but unknown.

Tell Sunny that we wish her a Merry Christmas.

Geesh, Mikie, I wish I had some material to come back with. I just don't. I have been channeling my writing into songs and a bunch of poetry these days. One day, I will have some new material and will be delighted to share it with you all.

We are all well. Linda is better but not 100%. But she is better and we praise the Lord for that.

I have pulled out of my nose dive divorce and am on the mend. This Christmas is light years ahead of last year. Funny how a year can make a difference in a man's attitude. Hmmm. I guess.

I miss you all and one day, hopefully, I will have something to contribute to this fasinating forum.

AJ, your story is a moving example of God's loving hands in action.
