Christmas Silver..................

Hawkeye Jim

New member
Hope everyone had a joyous and wonderful Christmas...........seeing how the kids and grandkids are all coming to our house on Monday, I had time for a short hunt this afternoon............the ground is starting to get a little on the stiff side and a few places I couldn't dig at all, but managed to snag a couple of Christmas Day silver dimes.............this is the first and most likely the last time I will ever be able to hunt on Christmas day, in NE Iowa anyway...........the weather has just been amazing and I don't ever recall being able to hunt this time of the year....................Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from Jim & Deb.

CONGRATS!
I have a little time after work tomorrow, hopefully I can find a couple more silvers before the ground freezes

Keep Digging those.... WGT!!!!

That's for sure......usually I am lucky to still be hunting in late November.........I guess global warming isn't all bad!!!!!!!!

Nice finds Jim!

Sweet to still be hunting near January isn't it?

You've had a very good year Jim! Congrats on the late season silver. It is unusual here in Iowa but looking back on my log book I found an 1896 Barber quarter on 12-31-06 at 6 1/2 inches, so it does happen just not often enough. HH
