church camp surprize

Got a chance to hunt an old church camp.Hunted it two times before. Got some clad but only managed one silver dime so far.But that changed friday! I was told that it's been hunted before so pickings were slim. But persistance pays off.All the general areas have been hit hard so I've been searching the surounding woods. There are old wells, old pool,an old root cellar.and other areas
.I thought I would try around the root cellar.I was only swinging about a half hour when I got a good signal.Sounded like silver! My Safari said a quarter at 6 inches.Well I started to dig.Got down about 5 in. and I saw silver.I carefuly wiped the dirt off and it looked like a Barber,Well I nearly fell over. I did a little dance.Took it to the creek to wash it off.Put my glasses on and looked at the date.Wow 1908 d.What a find.
That was the only coin I found that day.But what a coin.I told myself that morning I was going to find something good at the camp. I was right. It;s only the second barber quarter I have found.I will be going back A.S.A.P.
Don;t give up to soon on a site, you never know. And never think it;s hunted out.
My Safari sniffed out a little more history friday.A short but great hunt. HH all.

Awesome, I would love to find some more Barbers. I have only managed dimes. Way to stay with it!!! Looking forward to more. (pix pls)
