Cibola Freq. shift/GB?

If it were to be positively or negatively balanced in am/pinpoint.
Would the frequency shift have any effect ?
Maybe a dumb question, But I
Figured I'd ask? Thanks Noah

there's a youtube vid on it. - https://youtu.be/bhTtkGCisfQ

I've found the frequency shift on my Conquistador to cause a small variation in the GB depending on where it's set. Being a preset GB it gives an opportunity to tweak the GB a bit which may be helpful in some areas.

..Sure does, but chances are you'll still be a little too positive, even in the most negative frequency position.

Best thing for the Cibola is to mod it with a 10 turn GB pot and a spring-loaded toggle for the pinpoint function (like Tejon has).
Here's one I did today; haven't put the new knob on it yet:

Thanks for the info. Nice work on the mod.
I have a new compadre in route.
Going to try a waterproof mod on one.
If that goes well I may consider expanding my tinkering endeavors.
