Ya know, I've been considering upgrading my Cibola to a Tejon, or DeLeon, or maybe if I got lucky, a Cortes...but I think I must've scared the poor machine! I've scored 2 nice pieces of silver jewelry this week alone!
Earlier this week before I got sick enough to see the doc, I found a sweet ladies sterling ring with 3 CZ stones. Not bad, for a tot lot!
Well, today was no exception! Out swinging away on another woodchip tot lot, when near some equipment I get a nice beep. Sounded like a coin, not too deep, so I dug it. About 2-3" down into the compressed chips I flip the plug out, and see a shiny 'thing'. I brushed off the chips stuck to it, to find a little boy's head metal charm. Flipped it over and saw RQC STER stamped on the back...SWEET! Rembrandt Charms company, 3/4" sterling charm, retails $26.http://www.rembrandtcharms.com/Home/CharmDetail?ClassID=10&StyleID=0511&SizeID=0
Made my day!
I think maybe I will just keep the Cibola. I think I just suffer from gear-itis.

now NOT to brag ah heck YES i am gonna do just that !!!!! the Cibola is a DREAM..as we are located about 20 miles from the Santa Monica beach and L.A. County coastal shore we hit the beach rain, sun, cold, wind, on dry days i use the Cibola early mornings 6:AM to around 9:AM then as the public comes rushing in the Garrett hunter2 comes into play closer to the shoreline... the Cibola is a nice baby on dry land, in the parks.. and we have had a few good finds with it.. i used to use the White's prism 6T and to tell you the truth it is NOT all that it's cracked up to be.....far from it... and i am a White's fan since 1963/64... there service area is darn good though ...have you ever tried to beef up the Sens at 9 and then place the disc between iron and nickel line
.Winter months here can be nice or like this year cold and wet.. you enjoy
that Cibola for me/us it has paid itself a good
not counting the coins and small pieces of chain links that we find thanks to those darn lawnmowers...
