Civil War button

I found a button that just says US on it and looks like an eagle carrying an olive branch or something above the US. Does anyone know the specifics of it. My pics are too large and can't post them. I have looked at a lot of pictures and can't find a button that looks like this one.

all you have to do is open the pictures in paint and go to the image tab and select resize/skew. then on vertical and horizontal adjust the percent, and save if you like the size. if you dont like the size, then undo and try again with different numbers

It sounds like a pre-CW button, did it look like this? Its an 1820's-30's Army Greatcoat button if so

Sketch and skew the pics to at least 30% of original size. That should work. cch

That's it exactly. Thanks a lot. It's older than I thought. But I was hoping it was from the Civil War. I'm tickled with it
