FINALLY got permission to hunt a civil war camp site. Its about 4 aces and has been untouched! Spent about 2 hrs there today with my MXT I'm gonna hit it hard tomorrow.

Nice job. Cant tell for sure but looks like you got a sharps, a 3 ringer, a burnside and not sure about the last one. Looks like an eagle button too. Doesnt matter.... what a Great hunt. What state are you in ; you're signature doesnt say ?? CCH

Sorry about the pics their from my cell phone. I live in Maryland. The site is the Potomac river where Lee's forces had to camp after Gettysburg till the river level went down before they could cross.

[size=large]i'm on the west coast. i believe gen. sheriden served in the N.W. area for a time. does anyone have knowledge of how i can find out for sure and what his troop movements might have been?

Fantastic finds. I love seeing all these Civil War relics surface. I wish you luck at the hunt site. I'm sure there's plenty more out there. Can't wait to hear about your adventures. HH, Nancy
