Civil war honey hole

7centsworth

Well-known member
I got into a honey hole today I dug two buttons and several bullets. One dropped bullet not in picture because I gave it to the land owner. Both buttons are flat buttons. I also have a whatzit that I found in another part of the field. Pictures aere not the best I can not find my camera and I could not get my good ones from my phone to upload.

Great finds. I've always wanted to hunt the southern part of our country but never did. I've got friends in Virginia and there's ample fields around them to hunt but each time I've gone down there, it was to work and so I never took my detectors with me. Maybe some day.

how big is that long item?

it is made of lead? Might be a toy cannon.

Awesome finds Travis, congrats!
