Im no knowledgeable relic person by any means but has the eagle crest etc and looks like Army style. Not sure of size as nothing in photo for reference (everybody usually uses a common coin). Thinking button tho??

What does the other side look like and how big is it?

Nice looking save on the button. Looking forward to seeing this ID'd. I too believe this is an old button and appears to be of the military style. We'll be watching further. This may pre date the War of Northern Aggression. Good Luck.;)

Sorry for waiting so long to follow up on this relic. This appears to be two pieces with the eagle attached to a thin disc.,which leads me to believe it was pinned or sewn on a uniform.I haven’t found any similar eagles on Confederate artifacts..Size is about the same as a quarter.

Please post a picture of the back. What is or isn't there may help us ID it.
