Clad hunt to end all clad hunts.

The photo represents one hunt, at one new spot, with 4 breaks for water and to dump trash, over the course of 5.5 hours. Actual hunting time was 5 hours. Only a few small coin spills, and a ton of trash. Totals are 222 (almost 100 dimes!) coins for $28.53 which shatters my old 207 coin day (that was three different sites too.) I always thought if I found one more really good clad spot that had clearly not been detected I would really pound it on day one and see what I could manage. I stopped digging zinc cent signals after about 1.5 hours. They'll be there when I go back and there is a LOT more left too! The three jewelry items are junk. My back and my fingertips are killing me.

Chris

PS 10,000 clad coins in calendar 2008 is coming in about 7 weeks.

Chris You are amazing. The best I've ever done was 103 coin day.I dug all penny signals that day.Bill

Not amazing. I just have a lot of free time and a good detector. Any day over 100 coins is tough on my body.

Thanks for the kind words.

Chris

I turned off Treasure Talk for the last recharge cycle and got about an extra hour out of my batteries. I was going to try headphones but after TFs story I reckon I'll stick with what I like. I like Treasure Talk too so it's going back on. I like not having to look at the display if I have to re pinpoint while down digging or popping.

It's a lot easier with a 2500 with the talking but just for an experiment sometime see if you can locate and dig a target blindfolded. It is somewhat rewarding to get good at it. If you fling the coin from the hole all bets are off. Make sure you are in a safe place and it's probably best if nobodies watching!

Wow !! That is amazing hunt there.. Looking at all the coins i see none were on top on the ground so thats alot of holes you had to dig.. Great Job :clapping:
