:clapping: Moving From CA To... NEED INFO PLEASE

Hi Friends... My wife and I have decided to get out of CA in favor of one of the following States: NC - SC - Eastern TN - Northern GA... Sort of where they all converge.

We would like some basic info on how these States treat MD'ers... Like us, Hate us, Restrict us, Shoot us, etc... Any and all information will be greatly appreciated. Thanks to everyone in advance... Mike and Cindy.

I do not know about how they treat detectorist, but I really like going to Tn and Nc nice people and beutiful state. The people are real nice to, I live in Ky only about an hour and a half from Tn. Lots of prayers will tell you where to move to. May GOD bless yall and find a good detecting state.
 
Welcome to the CMD Forum....very glad to have you with us! I, too, don't know much about any of the states you've asked about, as I've only lived in MO! You could write letters or emails to the different cities that you might want to live in and ask them about the rules and regulations on MD'ing county and city parks! Some parks used to be open here in St. Louis County of Missouri but now are closed. Some are still open but if those hunting leave too big holes and aren't filling them then they might close also! You might be able to look up on the Net the states and cities you are questioning about and there may be city and county gov'ts with the info you need! Hope you find the right place for moving to and have a nice and safe move. Also, hope you do good when and while :detecting: :angel: God Bless! Betty

We have people here from most of them states that can answer your questions.

Tennessee is a relic hunter's paradise. You can't swing a detector without find Civil War stuff. Additionally, it's the only state of the four that doesn't have state income tax.
 
Anywhere But Georgia! Sorry Guys... Uncle Sam sent me there for training before heading to Korea and eventually Vietnam. All there was was red clay, snakes, bugs, spiders, and ... well you get the point. Go North Young Man ... Go North! Actually North Carolina is beautiful, as is South Carolina. Eastern Tennessee is very nice too and you might consider Virginia as well. Where ever you go, may God go with you and bless you all. Happy hunting!
